GONSALVES GOVT WASTING RESOURCES WITH POINTLESS PROTEST ARRESTS

The Gonsalves Government has arrested two men for exercising their democratic right to protest – a complete waste of resources considering previous cases have been thrown out of the court.

On Monday two men, Dave Crosby and Richard Jacobs, were brought before the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court for “illegally gathering” near the Parliament building last week. In truth they were exercising their constitutional right to peacefully protest against a government which has let them down for too long.

The event is just another example of the government’s “one rule for them, another for us” way of governing in a bid to stifle the resentment for the Gonsalves Government, that is spreading further across the country.

The move to silence the protestors also appears to be another case of wasting public resources after similar recent cases had been thrown out of court. In a country where people are having to turn to crime because of the lack of job opportunities and government support, there must be better uses of police time.

While the Gonsalves Government continues to try and instil fear amongst people, it is becoming all too clear that its time is coming to an end and the people want to get rid ah dem!
